Job Description

The City of Holland has a part-time, paid internship available for a current or recent Urban Planning graduate student or senior undergraduate student this summer. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic and innovative planning team during an imperative time. The position would enable you to apply your education in the real-world and help the City of Holland meet its ever increasing short-term and long-term goals. Projects will include organizing public outreach events; creatively gathering neighborhood input; researching and preparing presentations on zoning for affordable housing; assisting on Redevelopment Ready Communities (RRC) project implementation; conducting site plan reviews; and other assignments as needed. This is a unique opportunity to enhance your fundamental planning skills - public outreach, site plan review, and planning document writing to name a few - while working in a dynamic and mentoring environment.
